You know Nancy and her sister Ann Wilson as Heart, who burst onto the music scene in the 70's with a brash, bold sound that helped shape that era.
EPIX Streaming Channel has been honoring the "Women Of Rock" in an impressive 4 part series that aired on EPIX in July 2022. Nancy Wilson of Heart was featured in Episode 2 of The '70s called "Defiance", which highlighted the emergence of Women in Rock, who could, well, rock! |
Previous to this, Rock N Roll had always been held as a" men's only sport". But women like Nancy Wilson and her sister, proved that to be untrue.
Prairie Sun was also blessed to have Nancy Wilson using our studio for another project she was doing. Nancy is always professional and a lot of fun. Mooka (the owner) and all of the other folks that work there went way (way, way, way) above and beyond to make sure I got an album I was happy with on the budget that I had. Recording when you feel like you're on the clock is pretty stressful, but it's a really laid back environment and the attitude of everyone there makes it easy to feel welcome, get comfortable, and focus on the music.

I like Prairie Sun for a lot of reasons. It starts with the equipment, because you have to have good equipment to make a pro record. You can make an album in a garage but it's not going to be as good. It's not going to be a professional album. And there's nothing but pro equipment at Prairie Sun. Always has been!
