Curb/Word Publishing recently brought together writers from Nashville, LA and Atlanta for a pop focused songwriting camp. The writers worked at the legendary Prairie Sun Recording Studios in Cotati, CA. 

Writers represented publishers such as Curb/Word, Disney, Big Deal, Prescription and Kobalt.
“The goal of this camp was to create an isolated and inspiring environment for the writers, producers and artists in attendance to create some special songs,” said Joel Timen, VP Curb A&R and Publishing.

Now in its fourth decade of operation, the studio is known as a residential recording facility with a technical bent toward vintage analog-recording equipment as well as state-of-the-art digital technology. Van Morrison, Greg Allman, Kate Wolf, Mickey Hart, Primus, Faith No More, the Melvins, Ramblin’ Jack Eliot, Tom Waits and surf music creator Dick Dale all have recorded at Prairie Sun or used its post-production facilities.

A Little Bit About The Songwriters
Kipp Williams is a pop producer and songwriter based in Nashville, TN. He is signed to Dr. Luke's label, Prescription Songs. Kipp has written and produced for some of the industry's greats - including Nick Carter and Avril Lavigne. Dan Muckala has written songs for the Backstreet Boys, Mandy Moore, LeAnn Rimes and Nick Lachey.  Daylight is a lyric/melody writer, producer and singer who co-wrote Gnash & Imad Royal's single "superlit".  He also co-wrote & co-produced Shawn Mendes’ hit single “Stitches” (2017 BMI Song of the Year), co-produced Mendes’ single “Treat You Better”.  Sean Cook has written hits for Lupine Howl, including the #1 “Vaporizer.”  Natalie Lauren Sims has co-written for Iggy Azalea and Chris Brown.
