"Last year our band recorded at Prairie Sun with their summer special deal. My first thought when I arrived was WOW! I can't believe I live so close to this studio and have never seen what they do. I booked 2 days and stayed at their guest house for a night. The setting is really unique. Waking up & cooking breakfast in a real kitchen and then walking up the field to the studio was a whole new way to record; it was great to just focus on the music. They have a staff that helped us load in, get food, and thankfully helped keep the house clean. The engineer had come to one of our band's rehearsals, so when we showed up he knew exactly what to do. Our guitar player could not get over the fact he was able to use the studio's boutique and vintage amps with no additional cost. After we started tracking it felt really good the way the band sounded in the large live room. I think it played a big role in the performances we captured. Having recorded mainly in the city, the feeling I got when I walked out of the session and saw the sun set over the hills and chickens pecking under a fig tree was really surreal. I am happy to have found an affordable home base for my projects. If you haven't been out there... Go!"

This year, we are also offering a unique opportunity - buy your summer special now, and you have until the end of the year to use it! If you know you have recording to do this fall, save yourself some money and  make sure to book your session before the end of August.

The Details
  • Offer good for new two-day bookings for July-December, 2010. Limit of one booking under this offer per customer.
  • To confirm bookings for this offer, all fees must be paid in advance, before August 31, 2010.
  • The terms of this offer are two lockout days in Prairie Sun's Studio A, B, or C for the price of $750. Each "lockout" day includes 10 hours of studio time and a 1 hour dinner break. Any time over 10 hours is subject to additional charge.
  • Engineering fees not included. House engineers are available at reasonable rates.
  • Because of the savings presented by this offer, Prairie Sun reserves the right to reschedule any bookings made under this offer at the studio's convenience.
